There were a lot of people that don’t want to deal with the way the world is so they started working on a movement called Occupy Wall Street. Money is tight for a lot of people these days, and a lot of those people think that the 1% of the world’s richest people are making life terrible for the rest. There is more to it than this, but you can get an idea of the movement by just knowing that it was a big protest that happened all around the US.

I’m wondering just what the point was and whether or not they accomplished anything. In my opinion, it’s important for people to be able to deal with issues locally and to work hard on bettering their communities. But, I don’t think that it’s good to just go protest because it makes you look good on social media or gives you a fun story to tell. That’s why I think a lot of people didn’t get a lot done. Plus, the system is what creates poverty and that’s not the fault of those that figured out how to play it. I say we need to change the system if we ever want to make things fair.
